Kunal Kumar Dey is a dedicated and visionary filmmaker hailing from the culturally rich state of Jharkhand, India. His journey into the world of filmmaking began with a solid academic foundation in Mass Communication and Video Production at Karim City College, where he was part of the 2012-2015 batch. This experience not only equipped him with technical skills but also ignited his passion for storytelling through visual media.

Following his undergraduate studies, Kunal sought to expand his creative toolkit by pursuing a diploma in Animation and VFX from ZICA in Kolkata. This training allowed him to master advanced techniques in visual effects and animation, which he later integrated into his film projects. Kunal's pursuit of knowledge did not stop there; he is currently enrolled in a master's program in Mass Communication, further enhancing his understanding of media dynamics and communication strategies.

In 2017, Kunal co-founded VPRA Entertainment, a production house that serves as a platform for him and his friends to bring their creative visions to life. Under his leadership, VPRA Entertainment has quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach to filmmaking and its commitment to promoting local narratives. Kunal's mission is clear: to showcase the rich art and culture of Jharkhand on national platforms, thereby giving voice to local artists and stories that often go unheard.

Kunal's work extends beyond traditional filmmaking; he has collaborated with various government departments and corporate houses, producing over many award winning short and documentary films with more than 500+ corporate and government films. These projects not only highlight the initiatives and achievements of these organizations but also serve as a testament to his ability to blend creativity with purpose. Additionally, Kunal has directed impactful short films and documentaries that address pressing social issues, such as education, women's empowerment, and environmental sustainability. Through these films, he aims to raise awareness and inspire change within communities.
