Synopsis
On a stormy night, a young Indian student named Dhanush encounters a homeless woman shivering in the rain. Moved by compassion, he offers her shelter and takes her to his apartment. In the warmth of the night, their bond deepens, and they share tender moments of love and vulnerability.
But the next morning shatters this fragile sense of comfort—Dhanush awakens to find the woman lying lifeless in his bed. Shocked and terrified, he calls the police. The investigation takes a disturbing turn when one officer claims to have already seen the same woman dead the previous day.
As suspicions rise, a chilling twist unfolds: the officer removes the collar from around her neck, and to Dhanush’s horror, her head rolls onto the floor. The scene unravels into a surreal nightmare where the boundaries of reality collapse.
The truth emerges in the final revelation—this entire story is the fragmented narration of an elderly inmate in a mental asylum. Through his words, Muktti delves into the mysteries of the human mind, exploring how devotion can turn into despair and how love can intertwine with madness.
The film reflects on the fragile line between illusion and reality, urging us to question whether what we perceive is truth or just a creation of our own mind.
